Shirine Solh was born in Greece and grew up throughout Europe and the Middle East. She received a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and History from Brown University (Rhode Island, USA) and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Columbia University (New York, USA). She joined ExxonMobil Petroleum & Chemical in Belgium as a Public Affairs Analyst for the Downstream and Chemical businesses in 2000.
Throughout her career, Shirine advanced through numerous assignments in Public & Government Affairs having responsibilities for communications, emergency response and community investments. Shirine also has Downstream business experience working in Business Planning & Analysis and Business Development in the Fuels Marketing Retail and Industrial & Wholesale business lines from 2003 - 2007.
In 2008 she was transferred to the Middle East as Public & Government Affairs Advisor for ExxonMobil in Doha, Qatar. In 2014, she transferred to Exxon Al Khalij in Abu Dhabi as Vice President with a Public & Government Affairs oversight of ExxonMobil’s Upstream, Downstream and Joint Venture projects in the UAE. In 2022, Shirine relocated to Riyadh to serve as Vice President for Public & Government Affairs for ExxonMobil Saudi Arabia.
Shirine serves as Co-Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce Saudi Arabia’s (AmCham KSA) Women in Business Committee since 2024.
Shirine speaks fluent English, French and Arabic and enjoys living in Riyadh with her husband, Saeb Salam and their two sons.
