Rona Halabi is the Head of Communications & Social Impact for PepsiCo in the Middle East and North Africa, where she leads the company’s external communications, media relations, and social impact agenda across a dynamic and rapidly evolving region. With over fifteen years of experience, spanning corporate affairs, strategic communications, and journalism, Rona plays a central role in shaping PepsiCo’s narrative and reputation, aligning business priorities with social progress. Rona also oversees executive visibility and stakeholder engagement with government officials, regulatory bodies, NGOs, and community partners.
In her role, Rona combines strategic communications and social impact, with a focus on programs that empower youth and communities across MENA. Under her leadership, PepsiCo programs have advanced entrepreneurship, strengthened community engagement, and inspired young changemakers to drive positive impact.
Before joining PepsiCo, Rona served as the Communications Manager and Spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), where she led outreach efforts in conflict-affected areas and amplified humanitarian narratives in the region. Earlier in her career, she was a broadcast journalist and anchor, reporting on major regional developments and producing investigative and human-interest stories that brought critical issues to light.
A passionate communicator and mentor, Rona has trained professionals in public speaking, storytelling, and media engagement, and has lectured at the university level.
Rona holds an MSc in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics & Political Science, and a BA in Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University. She has also completed extensive professional development programs in leadership, management, and journalism.
