The American Chamber of Commerce Saudi Arabia's Women in Business Committee, in collaboration with Blanchard, celebrated the conclusion of the 2023 Mentorship Program on Monday June 12th at Marriott Hotel, Diplomatic Quarter, Riyadh.
With an opening remarks made by Dana Alajlani, Head of Public Affairs GCC at Sanofi, and Sage M. Park, Consultant at Ken Blanchard Companies, followed by the ceremony of handing over the training certificates we were able to delve deeper into the importance of mentoring during the panel discussion on the topic of “Navigating the Road to Success: Harnessing the Potential of Mentorship and Sponsorship” moderated by Jamila El-Dajani, The AmCham Women in Business Committee Chair.
The panel featured business leaders: Yvonne Perrins, Head of Strategic Accounts at Arabian Enterprise Incubators, Omar Al-Arabi, Head of Communications at PepsiCo and Vera Ghazal, Services Consultant at Oracle, who shared their inspiring stories on their journeys to find mentors and sponsors and how that impacted their carrier transformations.
The discussion was an excellent opportunity to gain insights on how mentorship and sponsorship can help advance diversity and inclusion for women in the workplace, importance of networking, effective communications and building trust. “Going forward together we can be so much more”.
The 4-month Mentorship program has provided valuable knowledge, insights, and skills that can positively impact personal and professional developments for all participants and support them to thrive in their chosen career paths. We would like to congratulate the participants for the completion of the program and for contributing with active engagement, dedication, and commitment throughout the program to all mentors and mentees.
