Hans Ott is an educational leader with more than 25 years of experience in teaching, school leadership, and system-level transformation across public and international school contexts. Currently serving as the Director of Teaching and Learning at the International Schools Group (ISG) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, Hans oversees curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, leadership development and accreditation across a diverse, not-for-profit district of five schools offering both American and British curricula.

Throughout his career, Hans has been committed to advancing educational equity, instructional excellence, and organizational coherence. Prior to his role at ISG, he served as Assistant Superintendent and Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in Saint Paul Public Schools, one of the largest and most diverse school districts in Minnesota, USA. He has led district-wide initiatives in personalized learning, digital innovation, inclusive practices, and curriculum design, while also serving as an adjunct professor in school leadership preparation programs.

Hans plays an active role in the international education community through his work with regional and global organizations. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the AmCham Saudi Arabia Education Committee and as Co-Chair of the Professional Development Advisory Committee for the Near East South Asia (NESA) Council of Overseas Schools. He is also an evaluator and accreditation team member for both the Middle States Association (MSA) and PENTA British Schools Overseas (BSO), most recently leading the successful re-accreditation of all five ISG schools during the 2024–2025 academic year.

With academic credentials in both education and leadership, including a Master’s in Teaching and Learning, Principal and Superintendent Licensure, and experience as a school board member, Hans brings both analytical rigor and a student-centered mindset to his work.
