On Tuesday, January 27th, AmCham Saudi Arabia’s Women in Business Committee hosted the Jeddah WiB Majlis: Tourism in the Western Region – Unlocking Opportunities for Women & SMEs, bringing together entrepreneurs, SMEs, industry leaders, and policymakers for an engaging discussion on the future of tourism.

Key takeaways included the strength of Saudi hospitality as a natural advantage for the sector and the need for schools and universities to better prepare talent through professionalism and tourism-focused programs. The discussion also highlighted the sector’s massive potential, with tourism already generating significant profits.

The majlis-style format encouraged open dialogue and networking. While the focus was on women in business, we were pleased to also welcome men to the conversation, reinforcing the idea that inclusive growth benefits everyone.
