Ebubekir Koyuncu

Ebubekir Koyuncu is the visionary Chief Executive Officer of Air Products Qudra (APQ) and Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases Company (BHIG). Since assuming these pivotal roles in 2020 and 2021 respectively, he has been instrumental in driving strategic growth, spearheading operations, and advancing the region’s energy transition and sustainability agenda. Under his leadership, APQ and BHIG have solidified their position as flagship entities, delivering cutting-edge technology, on-site solutions, and exceptional project execution for large-scale hydrogen, energy, and environmental initiatives.

Ebubekir’s career is a testament to his deep expertise and exceptional leadership in the industrial gases, hydrogen and energy sectors. He joined Air Products in 2019 as Vice President of Business Development, where he played a key role in identifying, developing, and executing transformative investments in hydrogen, industrial gases, energy, and gasification.

Before Air Products, he served as Executive Director for the Hydrogen Business in the Middle East at Praxair, where he contributed to major advancements in the energy landscape. His earlier tenure at Linde demonstrated his prowess in business development, operations and project management, culminating in his role as Managing Director of Linde Engineering MENA, where he oversaw large-scale hydrogen and industrial gas projects.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Ebubekir is an active and influential board member in the energy sector. He currently serves on the boards of:

• Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases Company (Board Member)

• Jazan Integrated Gasification and Power Company (Board Member)

• Jazan Gas Project Company (Board Member)

He also serves as Chairman of the Energy Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce Saudi Arabia (AmCham Saudi Arabia), advocating for collaboration and innovation in the U.S.-Saudi energy landscape. His strategic insights and industry expertise continue to shape the future of sustainable energy solutions, industrial gases and hydrogen.

Ebubekir holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, complemented by advanced diploma degrees in Business Administration and Business Law from the University of Siegen in Germany. His academic background, combined with decades of hands-on industry experience, reinforces his commitment to innovation, sustainability, and leadership excellence.
